The Fall of Atheism

There are significant turning points in the history of mankind. We now live in a them. Some call it globalization and some say it's the genesis of the "information age." These are true, but it is still a concept more important than them. Although some do not know, great progress has been made in science and philosophy in the last 20-25 years. Atheism, which has ruled the world of science and philosophy since the 19th century collapsed in this way inevitable.

Of course, atheism, the idea of rejecting the existence of God has always existed since ancient times. But the rise of This idea actually started in 18th century Europe with the spread and effect of political philosophy of some anti-religious thinkers. Materialists such as Diderot and Baron d'Holbach proposed that the universe was a conglomeration of matter that existed forever and that nothing else existed besides question. In the 19th century, atheism spread even further. Thinkers like Marx, Engels, Nietzsche, Durkheim or Freud applied atheist thinking to different science and philosophy.

The greatest support for atheism came from Charles Darwin, who rejected the idea of creation and proposed the theory of evolution for the counter. Darwinism gave a supposedly scientific answer to the question that had baffled atheists for centuries: "How human beings and living things have happened?" This theory has convinced many people of his assertion which is a mechanism in nature that animated lifeless matter and produced millions of species different from him.

Towards the end 19th century, atheists formulated a worldview that they thought explained everything, they denied that the universe was created saying it had no beginning, but still existed. They claimed that the universe had no purpose but that its order and balance are the result of chance: they believed that the issue of things, how human beings and the lives of others has emerged has been answered by the Darwinism. They believed that Marx or Durkheim had explained history and sociology, and that Freud had explained psychology on the basis of atheist assumptions.

However, these views were later invalidated in the 20th century by the scientific, political and social. Many discoveries and in various fields of astronomy, biology, psychology and social sciences have nullified the bases of all atheist suppositions.

In his book, God: the evidence, the reconciliation between faith and reason in a world Postsecular, the American scholar Patrick Glynn from the George Washington University wrote:

The last two decades of research have overturned nearly all the important assumptions and predictions of an earlier generation of modern secular and atheist thinkers relating to the question of God. Modern thinkers assumed that science reveals the world to be more random and mechanical, but she has discovered unexpected new layers of complexity to that betray an almost unbelievably wide master. Modern psychologists predicted that religion would be exposed as a neurosis and outdated, but rather religious commitment has been demonstrated empirically as a vital component of basic mental health …

Few people seem to understand that, but now it must be clear in a century in the great debate between science and faith, the tables have completely turned. In the wake of Darwin, atheists and agnostics like Huxley and Russell could point to what looked like a solid body of testable theory purportedly showing life to be accidental and the universe radically contingent. Many scientists and intellectuals continue to cling to that worldview. But they are increasingly pressed to almost absurd to defend. Today, concrete data strongly indicate the direction of God hypothesis.1

Science, which was presented as the pillar of atheist / materialist philosophy, turns out to be the opposite. As another writer said, "The strict materialism that excludes all purpose, choice and spirituality the world simply can not account for the data pour in laboratories and observatories. "2

In this section, we briefly analyze the conclusions different branches of science on this issue and consider what the next "post-atheist" period will bring to humanity.

Cosmology: the collapse of the notion of eternal universe, and exploring the creation

The first blow to atheism science in the 20th century has been in the field of cosmology. The idea that the universe had existed forever was discarded and found it had a beginning, in other words, it has been scientifically proven to have been created from scratch.

This idea of an eternal universe came to the Western world and the materialistic philosophy. This philosophy, developed in ancient Greece, said that nothing else exists besides matter and the universe from eternity and goes to eternity. In the Middle Ages when the Church dominated Western thought, materialism was forgotten. But in modern times, scientists and Western philosophers became consumed by a curiosity about these ancient Greek origins and revived an interest in materialism.

Immanuel Kant proposed the idea of a universe without beginning or end. It was terribly wrong.
The first person at the time Modern propose a materialist conception of the universe was the famous German philosopher Immanuel Kant, although not a materialist the philosophical sense. Kant proposed that the universe was eternal and that all possibilities could be realized only in eternity. With the advent of the 19th century it became widely accepted that the universe had no beginning and there was no moment of creation. Then this idea, passionately adopted by dialectical materialists such as Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, came in the 20th century.

This idea has always been compatible with atheism. This is because to accept that the universe had a beginning would mean that God has created and the only way to counter this idea has been to argue that the universe is eternal, even if this argument has no basis in science. A tenacious proponent of this claim was Georges Politzer who became widely known as a supporter of materialism and Marxism in the first half of the 20th century through his book Fundamental Principles of Philosophy (The Fundamentals of Philosophy). Assuming the validity of the model of an eternal universe, Politzer opposed the idea of creation:

The universe was not a created object, if it was it will be instantly created by God and brought into existence from nothing. To admit the creation, we must admit in the first , the existence of a time when the universe did not exist, and that is something out of nothing. This is something which science can not accede.3

In supporting the idea of an eternal universe against that of creation, Politzer thought that science is on his side. However, very quickly, the fact that Politzer evoked by his words, "if so, we must accept the existence of a creator" is to say that the universe had a beginning, was confirmed.

This evidence came after the Big Bang "theory, perhaps the concept The most important of 20th century astronomy.

The Big Bang theory was developed after a string of discoveries. In 1929, American astronomer Edwin Hubble, noticed that the galaxies of the universe is continually moving away from each other and the universe was expanding. If the flow of time in an expanding universe were reversed, then it is apparent that the entire universe must come from a single point. The astronomers assess the validity of the discovery of Hubble have been confronted with the fact that this was only a "metaphysical" state of reality in which there was an infinite gravitational attraction with no mass. Matter and time came into being by the explosion of this mass-less point. In other words, the universe was created from scratch.

John Maddox: His prophecy about the Big Bang failed miserably.
On the one hand, those astronomers who are determined to cling to materialist philosophy with its basic idea of an eternal universe, tried to resist the Big Bang theory and maintain the idea of an eternal universe. The reason for this effort can be seen in the words Arthur Eddington, a renowned materialist physicist, who said "Philosophically, the notion of a sudden onset of the present order of Nature is repugnant to me" .4 But despite the fact that the Big Bang theory is inconsistent with the materialists, this theory has continued to be corroborated by discoveries Scientists concrete. In their observations in the 1960s, two scientists, Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson detected the radioactive remains of the explosion (cosmic background radiation). These observations were verified in the 1990s by the COBE Cosmic Background (Explorer) satellite.

Given all these facts, atheists have been crammed into a corner. Anthony Flew, an atheist professor of philosophy at Reading University and the author of atheistic humanism, this is interesting admission:

Notoriously, confession is good for the soul. I therefore begin by confessing that Stratonician atheist should be embarrassed by the contemporary cosmological consensus. For it seems that the cosmologists provide scientific proof of what St. Thomas said could be proven philosophically, namely that the universe had a beginning. As long as the universe can be comfortably thought of being as not only endless but also without beginning, it is easy to insist that its brute existence, and everything that happens to be its characteristics the most fundamental, must be accepted as the last statement. Although I think there is still correct, it certainly is neither easy nor comfortable to maintain this position in front of the Big Bang story 5

An example of the atheist response to the Big Bang theory can be seen in an article written in 1989 by John Maddox, Editor of Nature, one of the most famous materialist scientific journals.

In this article, entitled "Down With the Big Bang," Maddox wrote that the Big Bang is "philosophically unacceptable," because "creationists and those confessions similar … amply justified by the doctrine of the Big Bang. "He also predicted that the Big Bang" is unlikely to survive the decade come. "6 However, despite the hopes Maddox, Big Bang has gained credibility and many discoveries have been made to prove the creation of the universe.

Some materials have a relatively logical view of this case. For example, the English materialist physicist, HP Lipson, accepts reluctantly scientific reality of creation. He writes:

I think … we must admit that … the only acceptable explanation is creation. I know this is anathema to physicists, as indeed it is mine, but we should not dismiss what we do not like if the experimental evidence it supports. 7

Thus, the fact finally arrived at by modern astronomy is this: time and material have been being forever by a powerful independent creator of each. The eternal power that created the universe in which we live is God who is the possessor of infinite power, knowledge and wisdom.

Physics & Astronomy: The collapse of the idea of a random universe
The discovery of the anthropic principle

A second atheist dogma rendered invalid in the 20th century discoveries in astronomy is the idea a random universe. The view that the matter in the universe, celestial bodies and the laws that determine the relationship between them has no goal, but the chance has been considerably reduced.

For the first time since the 1970s, scientists began to recognize that the physical equilibrium of the universe is delicately adjusted for human life. With the advanced research, it was discovered that the physical laws, chemical and biological universe, basic forces such as gravity and electromagnetism, the structure of atoms and elements are all ordered exactly as they should be for human life. Western scientists have called this extraordinary design the "anthropic principle". In other words, every aspect of the universe is designed for human life.

We may sum up the basis of the principle man as follows:

The speed of the first expansion of the universe (the force of the Big Bang explosion) was exactly the same speed that should be. According to scientific calculations, if the expansion rate had differed from its actual value by more than one part per billion, while the universe would either collapse before reaching its present size or else have splattered in every direction in a way never to unite to new. In other words, even the first moment of existence of the universe, there was a fine calculation accuracy of a billionth trillionth.

The four physical forces of the universe (gravitational force weak nuclear force, strong nuclear force and electromagnetic force) are all at levels necessary for an orderly universe out and for life to exist. Even the smallest changes in these forces (eg, one in 1039, or one in 1028, ie roughly calculated one in a billion billion billion), the universe consists of only radiation or any other element besides hydrogen.

There are many other delicate adjustments that make it ideal Earth for human life: the size of the sun, its distance from earth, physical and chemical properties unique to water, the wavelength of radiation the sun, how the Earth's atmosphere contains the gases necessary for respiration, or magnetic field of the Earth is ideally adapted to human life. (For more information about this topic, see Harun Yahya, The Creation of the Universe, Al-Attique Publishers, 2001)

This delicate balance is one of the most striking discoveries of modern astrophysics. The well-known astronomer, Paul Davies, writing in the last paragraph of his book The Cosmic Blueprint, "The impression of design is overwhelming." 8

In an article published in the journal Nature, the astrophysicist W. Press wrote: "there is a grand design in the Universe that favors the development of intelligent life. "9

The interesting thing about this is that most scientists who made these discoveries were the materialistic point of view and came to this conclusion reluctantly. They not committed to their scientific research in the hope of finding evidence of the existence of God. But most of them, if not all of them, despite their reluctance, come to the conclusion that the only explanation for the extraordinary conception of the universe.

In his book, The Symbiotic Universe, the American astronomer George Greenstein, recognizes this:

How this might come to pass [that the laws physics will conform to life]? … As we review all the evidence, the thought insistently arises that some supernatural agency-or rather Agency must be involved. Is it possible that suddenly, without intending to, we stumbled upon scientific proof of the existence of a Supreme Being? Was it God who stepped in and so providentially created the cosmos for our benefit? 10

In beginning his question with "Is it possible "Greenstein, an atheist, trying to ignore this simple truth that has faced. But many scientists who have addressed the question without prejudice to recognize that the universe was created specifically for human life. Materialism is now considered a mistaken belief outside the realm of science. The American geneticist Robert Griffiths, recognizes this fact when he said: "If we need an atheist for a debate I go to the philosophy department. The physics department is not very useful 11.

In his book Nature's Destiny: How the Laws of Biology Reveal Purpose in the Universe, which examines how physical, chemical and biological laws are amazingly calculated an "ideal" way to the requirements of human life, the well-known molecular biologist Michael Denton wrote:

The new picture that has emerged in the astronomy of the twentieth century, this a dramatic challenge to the presumption which was widespread in scientific circles during most of the last four centuries: life is a phenomenon marginal and purely contingent in the cosmic scheme.12

In short, the idea of a random universe, perhaps more basic pillar atheism has been proven invalid. Scientists are now talking openly about the collapse of materialism.13 The false assumption that the God revealed in the Qur'an: "We did not create heaven and earth and all between them in vain. It is the opinion of those who disbelieve … "(Qur'an, 38: 27) has been shown to be invalid by science in the 1970s.

Quantum physics and the discovery of the Divine Wisdom

When Researchers have taken deeper into the atom, they found shocking "empty".
One area of science that shatters the materialist myth and gives positive evidence for theism is quantum physics.

Quantum physics deals with the smallest particles of matter, which is called sub-atomic realm. In school everyone learns that matter is composed of atoms. Atoms consist of a core and electrons of several turns around him. A strange fact is that all these particles take up only some 0.0001 percent of the atoms. In other words, an atom is something which is 99.9999 percent "empty".

An even more interesting is that when the nuclei and electrons are discussed in more detail, he realized that they are composed of smaller particles called quarks, and that these quarks are not particles in the physical sense, but simply energy. The discovery broke the classical distinction between matter and energy. It now appears in the material universe, only energy exists. What we call matter is just "frozen energy".

There is even more intriguing: the quarks, these bundles of energy, to act so they can be described as "conscious". Physicist Freeman Dyson, accepting the Templeton Prize, said the following:

Atoms are weird stuff, behaving like active agents rather than inert substances. They make unpredictable choices between alternative possibilities according to the laws of quantum mechanics. It seems that the spirit which manifested by the ability to make choices, that is – to some extent inherent in any atom.14

What this means is there information behind matter. The information above the material realm. Gerald Schroeder, an MIT-trained scientist who worked both physics and biology and author of the famous book The Science of God, made a number of important remarks on this subject. In his latest book, The Hidden Face of God: science reveals the Ultimate Truth (2001), Schroeder explains that quantum physics with other branches of science is the tool for discovering a universal wisdom that lies behind the material world. As he says:

It took millennia before mankind an Einstein discovered that, as strange as it may seem, the basis of matter is energy, that matter is actually condensed energy. It may take a little longer for us to discover that there is not something more fundamental than energy that forms the basis of energy who in turn based matter.15

John Archibald, professor of physics at Princeton University and winner of the Prize Einstein said the fact when he said that the bit "(the binary digit) of information gives rise to the" it ", the substance of matter.16 According Schroeder it has a meaning "deep"

The question / energy relationships, the quantum wave functions, have profound significance. Science May be closer to the realization that the universe is an expression of information, wisdom, an idea, just as atoms are tangible expressions of something as ethereal that energy.17

This wisdom is something so omniscient that covers the entire universe:

A single consciousness, a universal system wisdom, pervades the universe. The discoveries of science, those that the quantum nature of subatomic matter, we have moved along a surprising realization: all existence is the expression of this wisdom. In the laboratories we experience it as information that First physically articulated as energy and then condensed into the form of matter. Every particle, every being, from atom to man, seems to represent a level of information, wisdom.18

This means that the material universe is not a lot pointless and chaotic atoms, as the atheist / materialist dogma assumes, but is rather a manifestation of a wisdom which existed before the universe and who has absolute sovereignty over all that exists. In terms of Schroeder's "as if a metaphysical substrate was impressed upon the physical 19.

This discovery shatters the whole materialist myth and reveals that the material universe we see is only a shadow of transcendent absolute. Thus, as Schroeder explains, quantum physics has become the point where science and theology meet:

The age old theological view of the universe is that all existence is the manifestation of wisdom transcendent, with a universal consciousness is its manifestation. If I replace the word information for wisdom, theology begins to sound like quantum physics. We may witness the confluence of the physical science with the spiritual. 20

Quantum is really the point where science and theology meet. The fact that the entire universe is pervaded by a wisdom is a secret that was revealed in the Qur'an 14 centuries ago. One verse reads thus:

Your God is God alone, there is no god but Him. It embraces everything in His knowledge. (Qur'an, 20:98)

Natural science: the fall of Darwinism and
The Triumph of the Intelligent Design

Darwin's theory is now refuted by a large number of scientific evidence.
As we said at the beginning, one of the main supports of the rise of atheism to its zenith in the 19th century was Theory Darwinian evolution. With his assertion that the origin of beings and things of all other lay people who live in the mechanisms of the unconscious physics, Darwinism gave atheists the opportunity they sought for centuries. Therefore, Darwin's theory has been adopted by the most passionate atheists of the time, and atheistic thinkers like Marx and Engels understood this theory as a basis for their philosophy. Since This time, the relationship between Darwinism and atheism continued.

But at the same time, the widest support for atheism is the dogma that has received the biggest blow of scientific discoveries in the 20th century. The findings of various branches of science such as paleontology, biochemistry, anatomy and genetics have changed the theory of evolution from various aspects. (See Harun Yahya, Evolution Deceit, 2000). We have handled this a lot more detail in various books and other publications, but we may summarize here as follows:

Paleontology: theory Darwin is based on the assumption that all species from a single common ancestor and that they diverged from each other over a long period time by small incremental changes. It is assumed that evidence to this effect will be found in the fossil record, the petrified remains of living beings. But fossil research conducted during the 20th century presented a totally different picture. The fossil of even one species undoubtedly intermediate which could justify belief in the gradual evolution of species was not found. In addition, each taxon is suddenly in the fossil record and no trace was found of any previous ancestors. The phenomenon known as the Cambrian explosion is particularly interesting. In the early geological period, nearly all phyla (major groups with plans significantly different body parts) the animal appears suddenly. This sudden emergence of many different categories of living things with body structures of completely different and extremely complex organs and systems, including mollusks, arthropods, echinoderms and (as recently discovered) vertebrates Similarly, is a major blow to Darwinism. For, as evolutionists also agree, the sudden appearance of a taxon implies the design supernatural and the creation of means.

Biological Observations: In developing his theory, Darwin relied on examples of how animal breeders produced a different variety of dogs or horses. He extrapolated the limited changes that was observed in these cases to the entire natural world and has proposed that every living thing could have happened to be in this path from an ancestor common. But Darwin made this claim in the 19th century when the level of scientific sophistication was low. In the 20th century much has changed. Decades of observation and experimentation on various species of animals have shown that changes in living beings is never gone beyond certain limits genetic. Darwin's statements as "I see no difficulty in a race of bears being rendered, by natural selection, more aquatic in their habits, with a mouth larger and larger, till a creature was produced monstrous as a whale. "21 actually demonstrates his great ignorance. On the other hand, observations and experiments have shown that mutations defined by Neo-Darwinism as an evolutionary mechanism add no new genetic information to living creatures.

The Origin of Life: Darwin spoke of a common ancestor but he never mentioned how this common ancestor came to be. His conjecture only the first cell could have formed as a result of random chemical reactions in some warm little pond '.22 But biochemists of the evolution that has committed to fill this hole in Darwinism met with frustration. All observations and experiments showed that it was, in short, impossible for a living cell to arise in inanimate matter by random chemical reactions. Same the English atheist Nobel laureate Fred Hoyle said that such a scenario is comparable to the probability that a tornado sweeping through a junk yard could assemble a Boeing 747 from its contents. "23

Intelligent Design: Scientists who study cells, the molecules in cells, their remarkable organization in the body and the delicate order and plan in the bodies are confronted with the evidence that evolutionists want so strongly to reject: the world of living things is permeated by designs too complex to be found in any technological equipment. Narrow sample design, including our eyes that are too superior to be compared to any other camera, the wings of birds that have inspired flight technology, the integrated system so complex cells of living beings and the information stored in DNA remarkable marred the theory of evolution which regards living beings as the product of blind chance.

All these facts were squeezed Darwinism into a corner by the end of the 20th century. Today, the United States and other Western countries, the theory of intelligent design is gaining growing among scientists. Those who defend the idea of intelligent design say that Darwinism was a big mistake in the history of science and that it had to be as the result of the materialistic philosophy imposed on the scientific paradigm. Scientific findings show that there is a conception of life which proves creation. In short, science proves once again that God created all living things.

Psychology: The Collapse of Freudianism and the Acceptance of Faith

The representative atheist dogma of 19th century in the field of psychology was the Austrian psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. Freud proposed a psychological theory which rejected the existence the soul and tried to explain the spiritual world of human beings in terms of motivations similar sexual and hedonistic. But the greatest assault Freud was against religion.

Later studies showed that Freud's ideas, especially those concerning religion are totally wrong.
In his book The Future of an Illusion, published in 1927, he suggested that religious faith was a kind of mental illness (neurosis) and that as humans progressed, religious faith would disappear completely. Because of the primitive scientific conditions of the time, the theory has been proposed without the necessary research and investigation, and no scholarly literature or possibility of comparison and, consequently, its claims were clearly inadequate. Indeed, if Freud had the opportunity to evaluate his proposals today, he himself would be surprised by the logic of the deficiency of his claims and he would be the first to criticize such foolish assumptions.

After Freud, psychology developed on an atheist. Not only Freud, but the founders of other schools of psychology in the 20th century were passionate atheists. Two of these were BF Skinner, the founder of the behaviorist and Albert Ellis, founder of rational emotive therapy. The world of psychology has come become the forum for atheism. A 1972 survey among members of the American Psychology Association revealed that only 1.1 percent of psychologists in the country had any religious organization beliefs.24

But most psychologists who have fallen into this great deception were undone by their own psychological investigations. We learned that the basic suppositions of Freudianism had almost no scientific support and, moreover, that religion is not a mental illness as Freud and some other psychological theorists say, but fundamental to mental health. Patrick Glynn summarizes these developments Important:

Yet the last quarter of the twentieth century was not kind to the psychoanalytic vision. The most striking feature was the exhibition Freud's views of religion as entirely fallacious. Ironically, scientific research in psychology over the last twenty-five years has demonstrated that far from being a neurosis or source of neuroses as Freud and his followers claimed religious belief is one of the most consistent correlates of general mental health and happiness. Many studies have shown a strong link between religious belief and practice on the one hand, and behavior healthy with respect to such issues as suicide, alcoholism and drug abuse, divorce, depression, even, perhaps there expected, levels of sexual satisfaction in marriage, on the other. In short, the empirical data run exactly contrary to the so-called "scientific" Consensus psychotherapy profession.25

Finally, as Glynn says, "modern psychology at the close of the twentieth century seems to reacquainting with religion "26 and" a purely secular vision of the mental life of man has been shown to fail not only in theory, but also to practice level.27

In other words, atheism was also routed in the field of psychology.

Medicine: discovery of "How many hearts find peace"

Another branch of science that has been affected by the collapse atheist suppositions was medicine.

According to results compiled by David B. Larson and his team at the National Institute of Health Research, a comparison between the Americans compared to church attendance has led to very interesting results. Risk of heart disease Arteriosclerotic for men who attend church often just 60 percent of men who attend church were infrequent. In women, suicide was twice as high among the few that among practitioners Church frequent smokers who ranked religion as very important their lives were over seven times less likely to have readings of normal diastolic blood pressure than were those who did not.28

Secular psychologists generally explain such phenomena as having a psychological cause. In this sense, faith raises the morale of a person contributes their well-being. There may be some truth in this explanation, but if we look closer, we see something much more dramatic. Belief in God is much stronger than any other influence on morale. In the comprehensive research on the relationship between religious belief and physical health, Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School has proposed some interesting results. Although it has no religious faith, Benson arrived at the result that faith in God and worship has had a much more positive impact on human health that could be observed in anything else. Benson concludes that he has "found that faith soothes the mind as no other form of belief. "29

Why is it such a special relationship between faith and spirit and the human body? The results obtained by Benson which is a secular researcher, was, as he said, that the human mind and body are "wired for God '30.

The fact that the world Medical slowly beginning to notice, is a secret revealed in the Quran and the verse: "Only in the remembrance of God, the heart may find peace. "(Qur'an 13:28) The reason why those who believe in God, pray to Him and trust in Him are physically and mentally healthier than others is that they behave in harmony with nature. Philosophical systems opposed to human nature always bring pain, sorrow, anxiety and depression on people.

The basic source of peace experienced by a religious person is that he acts in order to obtain the approval of God. In other words, this peace is the natural result of a person to listen to the voice of his conscience. A person does not see the morality of religion simply "to be more at peace" or "better health", a person acting with that intent can not find peace in its true sense. God knows that what a person stores in his heart, nor what it reveals. A person experiences peace of mind by being honest and trying to get God's approval. God commands:

So set your face firmly towards the [true] religion, as a pure natural believer, Model Natural God on which it is humanity. There is no changing God's creation. This is the true religion, but most people do not know. (Qur'an, 30:30)

In the light of findings that we have briefly indicated above, modern medicine is beginning to become aware of this truth. As Patrick Glynn says, "The contemporary medicine is clearly moving in the direction of recognizing the dimensions of healing beyond the purely physical" .31

Company: The fall of communism, fascism and the Hippie Dream

The collapse of atheism in the 20th century did occurs not only in the fields of astrophysics, biology, psychology and medicine, it also occurred in the political and moral social.

Communism may be considered the result most important policy of atheism from the 19th century. The founders of this Ideology, Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky or Mao, all adopted atheism as a basic principle. A primary goal of all communist regimes was to bring society to adopt atheism and destroy religious belief. Stalin's Russia, Red China, Cambodia, Albania and some countries block Eastern applied enormous pressure on religious people to commit mass murder.

Yet, surprisingly, to the late 1980, this bloody atheist system collapsed. When we examine the reasons for this dramatic decline, we see that what collapsed was actually atheism. Patrick Glynn writes:

To be sure, secular historians would say that the greatest mistake of Communism was attempt to defy the laws of economics. But other laws, it also came into play … In addition, as the historians penetrate the circumstances the collapse of the communist bloc, it becomes clearer that the Soviet elite was itself plagued by an atheist "crisis of faith". Having lived under an atheistic ideology, one that consisted of lies and was based on a "big lie" – the Soviet system has undergone radical demoralization, in every sense of the term. People, whose ruling elite has lost all sense of morality and all sense of hope.32

An indication interesting Soviet system wide "crisis of faith" was the attempts of President Mikhail Gorbachev to reform. Since that time assumed the presidency, Gorbachev was interested in moral issues and economic reforms. For example, one of the first things he did was to launch a campaign against alcoholism. To raise the morale of the company for a long time he used a Marxist-Leninist terminology, but he saw that it was useless.

Gorbachev's futile attempts could not cure the "crisis of faith in society Soviet.
Then in the last years of the regime, he even started talking about God in some of his speeches, even if he himself was atheist. Naturally, these sincere words of faith were useless and the crisis of faith in Soviet society continued to worsen. The result was the collapse of the Soviet empire gigantic. The 20th century documented not only the fall of communism, but also that of a Another result of the 19th century anti-religious philosophy-fascism. Fascism is the result of a philosophy which may be called a mixture of atheism and paganism, which is deeply hostile to theistic religions. Friedrich Nietzsche, who may be called the father of fascism, extolled the morality of the barbarians idolatrous societies, attacked Christianity and other monotheistic religions, and even called himself the "Antichrist." disciple Nietzsche, Martin Heidegger was a Nazi Avid supporters and ideas of these two atheist thinkers gave impetus to the terrifying savagery of Germany Nazi. (The Holocaust, one of the greatest act of evil in human history was the result of Nazi anti-Semitism, an ideology who hated the Jews and the monotheistic faith that has been the cornerstone of Judaism and Islam also.) The Second World War, which killed 55 million people, is another example of the calamity that atheistic ideologies as fascism and communism have brought upon humanity.

To this stage, we must remember another atheist ideology, Social Darwinism, which was among the causes of the outbreak of the First and Second World Wars. In his book Europe Since 1870, Harvard history professor James that behind Joll states each of the two world wars lay opinions philosophical and social leaders of the European Darwinist who believed in the myth that the war was a biological necessity and that nations developed through conflict.33

In contrast with the theistic and peaceful American Revolution, the French Revolution was an atheist, neo-pagan and extremely violent.
Another social consequence of atheism in the 20th century appeared in Western democracies. Nowadays we tend to regard the West as the "Christian world". But since the 19th century, an atheist, rapidly growing culture ruled with Christian culture, and today there is a conflict between these two cultures in what we call Western civilization. And that element was an atheist the real cause of Western imperialism, moral degeneration, despotism and other negative manifestations.

In his book God: The Evidence, the American writer Patrick Glynn draws attention to this issue and to compare the fear of God and the elements atheist in the West, he takes the example of American and French revolutions. The American Revolution was carried out by believers; American Declaration of Independence states that all men "are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights." Since the Revolution French is the work of atheists, the French Declaration of Human Rights has been very different without reference God and full of atheist and neo-pagan notions.

Actual results of these two revolutions were very different: in the U.S. model, a peaceful and tolerant environment has been created that respects religion and religious belief, in France, hostility savage religion of the country drowned in blood and unleashed a savagery such as had never seen before. As Glynn said, "it is an interesting historical correlation between atheism, on the one hand, and moral and political catastrophe, on the other. "34

Glynn notes that attempts to transform America into an atheist country have also caused damage to society. The fact that the revolution sex (for example) that spread through the immense damage that 60's and 70's social cause is accepted even by secular historians.35

John Lennon: The world imagined it without a religion did not bring a happy ending, either for himself or his disciples.
The hippie movement was a demonstration of this social degradation. The hippies thought they could find spiritual emancipation through secular humanist philosophy and things like that drugs and unlimited sex. These young people took to the streets with romantic songs like John Lennon's Imagine in which he spoke of a "World without a country, and no religion too"-indeed incur a mass deception.

In fact, a world without religion actually ended unhappy. The leaders of the 1960s hippie either killed themselves or died of drug-induced coma in early 1970. Many other young hippies shared a similar fate.

The youth of the same generation who turned to violence found themselves on the receiving end of violence. The 1968 generation, who have turned their backs on God and religion and imagined they could find salvation in such concepts as revolution or selfish Epicureanism, ruined both themselves and their own companies.

The Dawn of the Post-World Atheist

The facts that we briefly summarized at this point shows clearly that atheism is the subject of an inevitable collapse. In other words, humanity is – and will – in turning to God. The truth of this assertion is not only limited to scientific and political we wrote about here. On statesmen leading to movie stars and pop artists, those who influence opinion in the West are much more religious than they were. There are many people who have seen the truth and believe in God after having lived for years as atheists. (Patrick Glynn, whose book we have quoted is one of these ex-atheists).

The fact that developments that have contributed to this result began the same period, ie from the second half of 1970 is very interesting. The anthropic principle has emerged in the 1970s. Scientific criticism of Darwinism started to be loudly voiced at that time. The turning point against the atheist dogma of Freud was a book entitled The Road Less Traveled published in 1978 by Scott Peck. For this reason, Glynn, in the 1997 edition of his book, writes that "during the twenty years a significant body of evidence has emerged, shattering the foundations of the world view dominant throughout modern secular 36.

Certainly, that the atheist worldview has been shaken means that another worldview prevails, which is belief in God. Since the late 1970 (or, from the early 14th century by the Muslim calendar), the world has seen a rise in religious values. Like other social processes, this not done in a day and most people may not notice it because he has been developing over a long period of time. However, those who evaluate the development a little more carefully to see that the world is at a turning point in the field of ideas.

Secular historians try explain this process according to their own principles, but as they are in a great error to regard the existence of God, then they err heavily on the course of history. In fact, the next verse reveals, the story unfolds as God as determined: "… You will not find any change in the pattern of God. You will not find any alteration in the pattern of God. "(Qur'an, 35: 43) It follows So that history has a purpose and unfolds as God has commanded. And the commandment of God is the perfection of His light:

They want to turn off God's light with their mouths. But God refuses to do other than perfect His Light, even though the unbelievers hate it. (Quran 9: 32)

This verse means that God has sent down His light upon humanity through the religion he has revealed. Those who disbelieve want to extinguish this light by their "mouth" – Intimations, propaganda and philosophies, but God will finally perfect His light and give the domination of religious values on earth.

This may be the "turning point in history" mentioned earlier in this section as indicated further evidence that we have provided here and the implications of hadiths and statements by various scholars. Surely God knows best.

Conclusion

We live at an important time. Atheism, which people have tried for hundreds of years to run as "The path of reason and science", turns out to be mere irrationality and ignorance. Materialist philosophy that sought to use science for its own purposes was in turn defeated by science. A world rescuing itself from atheism to turn to God and religion. And this process began long ago.

It is clear that believers have important functions in this period. They must be aware of this major change how in the world to think, interpret, make good use of opportunities offered by globalization and they reflect the truth on this road. They must know that the basic conflict of ideas in the world is between atheism and faith. This is not a struggle between East and West both East and West, there are those who believe in God and those who do not. For this reason, faithful Christians and Jews are allies faithful Muslims. The main difference is not between Muslims and "People of the Book" (Jews and Christians), but between Muslims and people Paper, on the one hand, and atheists and pagans on the other. Of course, we must not show hostility toward these people, but consider as people who need to be rescued from their error.

The time is approaching when many people who live in ignorance with no knowledge their Creator will be honored by the faith in the impending post-atheist world.
